Get to know Professor X

I guess to make it official I have to tell you a bit about me and what I have done.  First off welcome to my blog on Metromix.com, my name is Javier and I'll be your Professor every night I go out throughout Tampa Bay educating you on Tampa Bay Nightlife (I guess you can call it night school).  I was born in Colombia and moved to NY when I was 6 and then back and forth between Connecticut and NY for 4 years.  I started in nightlife when I was in 9th or 10th grade helping out a local DJ in Danbury, CT by the name DJ Big Mike and helped him promote a Night Club called Boopers.  I did that for a few years and then moved to Tampa to further my education at the University of Tampa and graduated in 2003, those were some fun years.  In college I found my way back into promotions and did some work for Club Joy which is now called Whiskey North, but that was like for a month (I was hired by a promoter that did not know what he was doing).  In 2005 I heavily got back into the night life scene as I joined the first Latin radio station 92.5 Maxima FM and have been there ever since, I also working for Wild 98.7.  In 2008 I joined Metromix.com Tampa Bay and now I'm their nightlife freelance photographer.  Will I tell you where the hot parties are going to be at? I hope so, but that all depends on the venue and the promoters.  

I try to build as many bridges as I can, and I would like to thank everyone in Tampa Bay who currently opens their doors when I call them to cover an event.  If you have ANY event, concert or show you would like me to cover please send an email to jhernandez814@gmail.com so that I can do my best to fit it in my calendar. 

I hope you are registered for classes because we might be going out 7 days a week, I know Tampa has a nightlife everyday of the week and I'm here to TELL YOU ABOUT IT.
